I'm knitting and collecting hand-knit/hand-crocheted blankets for the premature babies at a local hospital. It's for my Girl Scout Gold Award and I'm really excited for the project. I like being able to make things with my hands and I was really happy when Council approved the project. I'm worried that they won't approve the final papers and actually award me the award though because I didn't follow my original project plan exactly. For example, I never emailed stores asking for donations because my grandmother sent me a huge box of yarn and I made some money working and I never emailed the senior center. Partially I didn't email the seniors because the women seemed hesitant to approve the project because I said I wouldn't be making all the blankets myself and partially because emailing too many people would make collection hectic. I got a warm response from school district employees though so I think I should be able to get the 50 blankets okay.
I am really worried about getting the final papers approved though...but I'm trying not to think of that and focus on the project because I think it's a nice project.
That really is a nice gesture! I hope you get all 50 blankets!
